“What’s wrong now?”

Adelita sat up in bed, still crying. “I-I was dreaming I was flying. And then I forgot a-and fell down.”

“Oh, mija.” He knelt and embraced her as she slipped out of bed. “You can’t forget.”

He leaned back and held her loosely by the waist. “Remember Lita, left first….”

Adelita gingerly raised one foot.

“Now your right…. Ready?” He let her go.

Hovering three inches off the ground, Adelita beamed.

As he stood, Adelita rose to his eye level. She leaned forward, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissed his cheek.

"I love you too."
