THIS IS A GREAT BR FISHING AND WISHING 100 ENTRY

Leaving

For all the times we had to leave, without understanding what it truly meant. (100 Word Entry, October Theme #15)

I didn’t really understand then. I didn’t understand the significance of the rolling landscapes and green foliage or how lovely the clear skies and bird songs were. All I remembered was playing in the soft grass, running through the endless woods. I was too young to fully take in the scenery, too young to realize that it couldn't last forever. Even after my toys were packed in boxes, stacked up high in the moving van. Even when my beloved hills faded to urban concrete. I didn’t understand until it was too late; I wished I could’ve at least said good-bye.
