My piece is based on the topics "I don't like this place" and "halloween." 96 words.

His First and Only Haunted House

Monsters jump out at us at every side. I can hear my dad screaming as he pushes me faster toward the exit.
Finally it’s in sight. We pass through the doors and my body loosens with relief. I sit on the grass outside the Waipahu YMCA, trying to catch my breath.
Mom, already waiting for us outside asks, “Where’s your son?”
Frantically my dad looks around. “Oh shit!” he yells as he runs toward one of the workers.
Five minutes later my brother walks out hand in hand with an unmasked zombie, crying his eyes out.
