Paklan Tree Reunion

Published by JOHNNYV | Wednesday, November 30, 2011 7:57 AM

This is a poem I wrote for my aunt who passed away in April of 2011.

Kula, Kula, "Open Meadows"
Clouds caress my heart
Green grass, stretch to eternity
Vista of waves, blueish green balm
I remember the laughter, the food
Trips abroad. Memories made
They still go and on like the horizon
Never ending. Never quitting
Life reached full circle
Ashes scattered to the wind
Paklan tree reunion
Sweet sweet smells of childhood
White petals bring me home
Kula, Kula, "Open meadows"
Open your arms
Embrace me as your daughter
Kiss me with your dew
