I am born. . . . If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you probably want to know is where I was born, and what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that David Copperfield kind of crap, but I don't feel like going into it, if you want to know the truth.

Okay, we had a record number of entries for the December contest, and we're looking to break that record this month. If you guessed it, then you guessed right. We're going up again this month. So, you can write:

a haiku

or

a piece that is exactly 100 words

or

you can accept the big monthly challenge of writing a piece that is exactly 1444 words.

Remember that we are open to poems, fiction, plays, essays, or any hybrid genre you dream up.
