Ive been here on the Big Island for two years. Retired from caregivng, hospital work and teaching. I guess I can never retire from Art and Writing. Ive been around the world twice, lived in Alaska 25 years, Seattle and San Diego. I need a place to write.

Lunch in Hawaii

100 words for August

I looked over at the truck next to me as we rolled side by side along Highway 11. Your Hawaiian good looks stunned me with your brown skin, black hair and hot tattoo. You were eating a burger as you drove in the humid heat. I wanted to be next to you, sharing lunch and your day. Our lives parted at the next intersection, another Hawaiian moving on. It seems all day, wherever I go on this island, there are wonderful Hawaiian men to look at and fantasize about. Thanks Hawaii for giving an old lady some tropical fun.
