100 words for December.

Ma fadda always tried fo ruin
Christmases. Ma madda beg him
once fo buy one tree, he go,
"No need, we no moa kala."

Was because he stay cheating
on her an no like make time.

Christmas Eve, ma madda restless.
"We goin make one tree."

We took green pepa strands,
tiedom from one round table
to da ceiling an wen wrapom
wit popcorn leis instead of lights.

When ma fadda come home, he go,
"Dat's da dumbest ting I eva seen."

But we already wen overcome
his humbug. We already wen
preserve our Christmas spirit
fo one nadda yea.

The image of that tree is great. I know the dad is supposed to be not so great a person, but I can't help but like him.
