Watching my roommate draw, she literally sniffed the colored pencils to tell the colors apart. Also she can't cook for sh*t.

A box of Prisma colored pencils like a spice cabinet
The artist smells to distinguish
Picks one
Indigo blue or black?
Which smells more like dark-wash Levi’s
Which more like a bumblebee’s shell
The artist chooses from a pantry of ingredients
Tasting as she goes
A touch of Carmine for boldness, Ginger Root for paleness
Dipping a finger to the sauce,
Just a pinch more Sienna Brown
The chef selects carefully from her range of pigments
Her palate for shades, distinguishing a palette of flavors
A stir here, a smear there
Until a masterpiece
Is ready to be served.
