Haikus for A'ia'i

A birthday makana to a kapa-loving-pounding wahine koa, A'ia'i..,mahalo for the gifts you share with us all.

Hear the kuku beat,
an ancient kahea that
only she repeats.

In the misty morn,
green wauke is flourishing,
wet with morning dew.

Sheer wispy kapa,
for na iwi kupuna
on their long journey.

O A'ia'i,
your smile greets and lights the day,
Malama pono.
