BR 100 Word Contest: Who says humans are better than dogs?

Choking on Chicken Bones

Cowgirl gagged. “Serves you right for killing my prize hen,” Sam scoffed as he chained her up, then stomped away swinging the carcass.

“One, two days max,” Cowgirl thought as she drifted into a perfect predator dream. By day three, Cowgirl’s food and water were gone and she had not seen Sam since the rooster incident.

On day seven, neighbor Ed stopped by. “Sam?” he called as he entered the kitchen where Sam was face down in a plate of rotten chicken. Ed phoned 911, then unleashed Cowgirl.

“Sorry, old girl, looks like your master choked to death.”

Amusing. Nice twist. I like "perfect predatior dream."
