BR 100 word contest

“I thought dad would be home for Christmas this year.” Tommy said holding his knees to his chest.
“You know how his work is sweetie I know if he could he would be here.” His mother tried to fake a smile.
“It’s not fair, every other kid in the world gets to have both their parents on Christmas” Tommy stamped his feet.
Tommy ran up the stairs to his bedroom jumped into bed, and covered his head with his Toy Story themed blankets. Crying himself to sleep, he passed out shortly after.
Moments later, a car pulled into the driveway.
