I took the accent test: North Central, or Minnesota. I laughed at the last line of the description, which says: "Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot." I lived in Toronto for two years, so the quiz is surprisingly accurate. I spent the whole summer getting used to American spelling again (so no extra u's or other letters in a lot of words), but every once in a while an "eh" slips out and surprises me. Though I don't know if that's a Canadian "eh?" or a pidgin "eh!"

Continuation from last NICOLE blog: the Hawaii state library system lets you borrow an unlimited number of books. An excellent policy, since even though most of the early Bamboo Ridge issues are one centimeter thick they still count as one book each. My personal book-borrowing record is somewhere in the 40s, and those were all Bamboo Ridge issues/books. That's one demonstration of "for the love of BR", what's yours?

Wine and Words this Thursday! I am looking forward to it because wine and rice AND literature sound really good after three law classes. Not to mention free parking at KCC!

counting down six days until birthday,
NICOLE
