On Friday, May 6, the Hawai`i Book Publishers' Association will hold their annual Ka Palapala Po`okela Awards Ceremony, honoring Hawai`i's best books, authors, and illustrators. Juliet S. Kono is nominated solo and with her sisters in renshi, and both book designs could win awards for Rowen Tabusa:

The Hawai`i Book and Music Festival well take place May 14 - 15 on the grounds of Honolulu Hale:
