Today’s word is

cheer

Use it in a piece of writing, or to inspire a piece, and then post what you write on the Bamboo Shoots page. We’d love to read it : )

Here's mine for today.

Hawai'i Sonnet 90 ( Baseball Rules)

My Red Sox finished weakly
My Angels crashed bleakly
My Brewers died quickly
My Dodgers looked sickly

I could definitely cheer for Kolton Wong
I hope Kurt Suzuki hasn’t broken his arm
I always take Carpenter for my fantasy team
Kendrick, my former Angel, is living his dream

Then there’s Jose Altuve, the shortest star in the game
So incredibly gifted, he deserves his great fame
I’ve always liked Springer, he’s truly a beast
Brantley rose from the dead, came to life with this team

If the Astros can fight past the Rays today
I’ll root for Houston to go all the way
