Submission Guidelines


FOR OUR 100TH ISSUE

The submission guidelines for our landmark Bamboo Ridge Issue #100 (Spring 2011) have been modified slightly.

We hope to feature 100 pieces of writing in our 100th issue!

Poetry and prose submissions for the issue must not exceed 100 lines (approximately 3 pages, double-spaced with 1” margins, using 12 pt. Times Roman).

You may submit more than one poem or short-short story provided the total number of lines is less than 100.

Deadline: submissions must be received by Dec. 31, 2010.

Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for return of your manuscript.

No online submissions accepted.


FOR OUR REGULAR ISSUES

We consider submissions of prose and poetry for our regular issues once a year. No more than ten pages of poetry or thirty pages of prose should be submitted at a time. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable but please notify us immediately if your work has been accepted elsewhere. Manuscripts should be in 12 point type, with one-inch margins on one side of 8.5" x 11" white paper. Prose should be double-spaced. Poetry may be single-spaced. Should you wish to have your manuscript returned, please include a self-addressed envelope with sufficient postage. See our website for the current submission deadline.

 

We suggest that you read current or previous issues of ; Copies are available at bookstores, libraries, or may be purchased online.

 

We do not accept submissions via fax, email or online.  We are not currently considering book manuscripts.

 

Please do not send your only copy, we will not be responsible for lost or damaged manuscripts.
